Raw Material Selection

The selection of suitable raw material from the right source is one of the most important aspects of roll making. The same material, procured from different sources gives different characteristics due to difference in percentage of alloying elements. Thus, the selection of raw material and the hardness value desired is done in close consultation with the customer which is largely based on the application for which the roll is to be used and the material to be rolled. The raw material is properly tested using different processes before use.

The quality is ensured by regular and multiple checks performed, starting right from the inspection of the raw-material to the final inspection before dispatch.
